PUEBLO KONVERGE MAGAZINE

Embracing Pueblo's powerful creative economy

Konverge is a new quarterly magazine in development which will embrace the powerful 'konvergence' of life found only here in Pueblo, Colorado. The magazine will showcase how history, culture and the arts empower discovery in the creative economy through the stories of people on the front line of innovation.

The creative economy is a powerful and positive global force. Together, artists, cultural nonprofits, and creative businesses produce and distribute cultural goods and services that impact the economy by generating jobs, revenue, and quality of life.

Konverge aims to strengthen and supports the creative sector not only as a storytelling platform, but also by providing research studies, online resources, THINK UP Buyers Market for Makers & Creatives, and the Konverge Awards, which:

  • build the intellectual assets of the cultural community

  • inform cultural decision-making and program development

  • enhance public understanding of how the arts contribute to the vitality of communities

Konverge will also share the stories of exemplary creative placemaking initiatives by organizations that leverage local creative assets and cross-sector partnerships for community revitalization and growth.

DIG INTO PUEBLO'S CREATIVE ECONOMY DIRECTORY

Konverge will also develop a directory which highlights the rich range of creative people and places at work in the Pueblo and Southern Colorado region. This free online directory will include profiles for cultural nonprofits like libraries and theaters, creative businesses like recording studios and design agencies, and artists of all disciplines such as performing arts, visual arts, and crafts.
